Justin Hannan helps businesses and individuals navigate the complexities of federal, state and international tax planning and compliance. He helps clients structure and form business ventures, including private investment funds, family offices and tax-exempt organizations. Justin assists both buyers and sellers of closely held businesses, as well as publicly traded companies, with the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions. Justin also has experience restructuring partnerships with significant debt and other distressed assets.
On the individual side, Justin assists clients with domestic and international tax planning, multi-generational wealth transfer strategies and executive compensation issues. He also helps clients form qualified opportunity funds and is a frequent writer and speaker on the subject.
Prior to joining Day Pitney, Justin worked as a senior tax associate at a large tax consulting firm and served as a judicial intern to the Honorable S. Jane Haggerty in Massachusetts' Middlesex County Superior Court.
