Kritika Bharadwaj is experienced in the commercial and legal aspects that span the life cycle of a business offering—from the inception of a concept to commercialization of the product or service. She regularly represents small to large corporate clients across industries, including technology, life sciences and finance, in complex commercial and technology transactions. These transactions involve various aspects of development, licensing, and transfer of technology and provision of services. She helps businesses evaluate legal risks in such arrangements, and structures and negotiates the underlying contracts. She also advises on data protection and privacy related matters.
In the sphere of transactions, Kritika regularly represents buyers and sellers in strategic alliances such as joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions. She also engages with emerging technology and life sciences companies to counsel them on matters pertaining to formation, corporate governance, and raising capital. In this regard, she has experience managing venture capital financing transactions for both early stage investors and growth companies. She also assists with private fund formations.
Additionally, Kritika helps businesses develop their brands by advising on trademark selection and enforcement strategies. She has represented corporations across industries such as technology, financial services, fashion, sports, publication and pharma. She has also advised on trademark licensing and brand collaboration agreements involving various products, services and celebrities.
Kritika is dual-qualified to practice in New York and India, and regularly takes on matters involving both countries. She enjoys maintaining strong ties to the South Asian legal and business communities through participating in bar associations, as well as mentoring young lawyers and entrepreneurs from India. Advised a clinical data management and clinical programming solutions provider in connection with its acquisition by a global healthcare solutions provider
