Day Pitney Further Expands Corporate Practice in New Jersey
Elizabeth C. Yoo has joined Day Pitney LLP as a Corporate Partner in the firm's Corporate and Business Law department and a resident in the firm's New Jersey office. Yoo is the second Corporate Partner to join the firm this year, following Laurence M. Smith's arrival from Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC earlier this month.
"As part of our ongoing strategic growth initiatives for our Corporate department over the past five years, we have focused in the last 12 months on expanding our core Corporate practices across multiple geographies, including NJ and FL, and in several highly sought-after industries where the firm already had significant depth such as real estate, energy, and healthcare," commented R. Scott Beach, chair of the Corporate and Business Law Department. "The arrival of Larry and Liz greatly expands our ability to service and support our clients with M&A, general counsel services, family office and commercial finance needs."
Yoo has experience in a broad range of corporate transactions and represents clients in mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, stock and asset sales, restructurings, joint ventures, and other strategic alliances. She also provides general corporate counseling to a wide range of companies and drafts and negotiates a variety of commercial agreements, including non-disclosure agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, escrow agreements, operating, shareholders', consulting, and employment agreements.
"We experienced tremendous strategic growth in our Corporate department in 2023, and with the recent arrival of Larry and Liz, we are off to a strong start for 2024," commented Day Pitney Managing Partner Gregory A. Hayes.
Yoo has been included in Chambers USA, New Jersey's Corporate/M&A Up and Coming (click here for Chambers methodology), and The Best Lawyers in America® Ones to Watch for Corporate Law and Public Finance Law (click here for Best Lawyers methodology). She earned her B.A. from Barnard College, Columbia University and her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University. Yoo is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.
