Day Pitney Partner Kritika Bharadwaj has been named to the 2024 Lawdragon 100 Leading Global AI & Legal Tech Advisors list. This is the inaugural year for this list. For more information on the methodology, click here.
"There are worlds within this guide, and we will say little more before stepping aside and letting you enjoy this look at law's present and future. And we'll add our two cents on whether AI will (finally) kill the lawyers: Not a chance. The minds represented here, their judgment and guidance, could never be produced by a machine. Lesser mortals, perhaps. But these 100? No way," notes Katrina Dewey, Founder of Lawdragon.
New York-based Bharadwaj, recognized as an AI Dealmaker, is the Chair of Day Pitney's Artificial Intelligence Committee. She is a partner in the firm's Technology, Telecommunications, and Outsourcing practice group and member of the firm's Data Privacy, Protection, and Litigation group. As the Chair of the AI Committee, Bharadwaj spearheads the efforts of cross-departmental representatives of the firm with a mission to encourage understanding and responsible utilization of generative AI tools. She not only played an integral role in developing the firm's policy on the responsible use of generative AI tools for firm and client work but continues to help the firm explore generative AI tools for enhancing productivity and efficiency and to design innovative training for the firm's attorneys and non-attorneys on responsible use of generative AI tools. As an extension of her technology practice, Bharadwaj also educates and counsels clients on various aspects of AI, including the technology, data privacy, intellectual property and commercial aspects of developing or procuring generative AI tools and adopting AI policies.
