Peer Review of Scientific Studies: A Critical Review
Day Pitney of counsel Michael Furey co-authored an article for the New Jersey Law Journal with Patrick J. McDonnell, Esq., a partner with McDonnell & Associates, and Merrill E. Gershwin, M.D., a rheumatologist on the faculty of the University of California, Davis. The article is titled, "Peer Review of Scientific Studies: A Critical Review," and discusses the need for courts to consider the nature and extent of peer review of scientific studies before admitting such studies into evidence or permitting the cross-examination of experts on the basis of such studies in litigation.
