On September 14, Day Pitney hosted a one-hour webinar to discuss FERC's Order No. 2023, which requires major reforms to the FERC-jurisdictional generator interconnection process. Energy and Utilities Partner Evan Reese, Counsel Eric Runge and Associate Margaret Czepiel examined the key interconnection reforms, the compliance process to implement those reforms, and the implications for transmission providers, and interconnection and transmission customers. They also considered whether and how these reforms advance the transition to the clean energy grid, and identified some of the notable items not addressed in the Final Rule related to transmission planning and expansion.
