Each of the Day Pitney Sites identified above is owned and controlled by Day Pitney LLP ("Day Pitney," "DP," "we" or "us"), a law firm with offices in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Florida, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Washington, D.C., and attorneys licensed to practice in many jurisdictions.

This Privacy Policy describes certain information that Day Pitney collects through the Day Pitney Sites and how we use that information. Please note that this Privacy Policy applies solely to our online information-gathering and dissemination practices in connection with the Day Pitney Sites, and does not apply to any of our practices conducted offline.

What identifying information do we collect?

DP collects personally identifiable information that you provide to us, knowingly, through any Day Pitney Site. "Personally identifiable information" refers to information that directly identifies you, such as your name, e-mail address, postal address, employer name, title, department, and telephone number. DP collects personally identifiable information only when knowingly provided by you in online forms or registration forms. For example, you may voluntarily may supply us your Personal Data when you take an action such as registering for participation in an educational program offered by DP, requesting information regarding services offered by DP, submitting materials for publication on a blog hosted by DP, or otherwise enter your Personal Data on any online form hosted on a Day Pitney Site.

Also, DP may collect certain non-personally identifiable information when you visit a Day Pitney Site. "Non-personally identifiable information" refers to information that does not identify you but which can be used to track certain Internet conduct. For instance, your computer's IP address, your web browser's identity, the date and time you accessed the website, the page or pages you visited and images you accessed, the website you arrived to the Day Pitney Site from and the website that you depart to as well as the IP address of the computer being used to access the Day Pitney Site, may be all collected without any action on your part.

When a user performs a search within a Day Pitney Site, DP may record information identifying the user or linking the user to the search performed. DP may also record limited information associated with search requests made by a user and use that information to, among other things, solve technical problems with a Day Pitney Site and to calculate overall usage statistics.

What do we do with the identifying information we collect?
DP uses your personally identifiable information and non-personally identifiable information in the following ways:

Do we use cookies, pixel tags and other tracking technologies?
Yes, we may use cookies, pixel tags and other passive tracking technologies to collect non-personally identifiable information.

Cookies are pieces of information generated by web servers and stored in your computer for future access. We use them to study visitors' use of the Day Pitney Sites and to improve your navigation of it. Many consider the use of cookies to be an industry standard. What about Third Party Links?
Although the Day Pitney Sites provide links to third-party web sites, they are not covered by this Privacy Policy. Day Pitney assumes no responsibility for the privacy or security of information you provide to any third party through linked web sites or any other means. We urge you to review the privacy policy and terms of use of any web site that you visit.

Security
While Day Pitney strives to protect your personally-identifiable information and user privacy, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you disclose online and you do so at your own risk. This Privacy Policy does not extend to anything that is inherent in the operation of the Internet, and therefore beyond DP's control, and is not to be applied in any manner contrary to applicable law or governmental regulation. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect information collected through the Day Pitney Sites, DP cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or from a Day Pitney Site, and you do so at your own risk.

Children
The Day Pitney Sites are not intended for children under the age of 18, and Day Pitney does not intentionally collect personally-identifiable information from children under 18. If you have reason to believe that we have collected personally-identifiable information from someone under 18 years of age, please let us know.

Choice
You will have the opportunity to opt-out of receiving unsolicited e-mail communications from us when we first collect your personally-identifiable information through any Day Pitney Site. Additionally, you may unsubscribe from our e-mail lists at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link that is at the bottom of each e-mail or sending an opt-out request to Privacy.Officer@daypitney.com. Please include your name and mailing address in any correspondence.

California Residents

If you are a California resident and have an established business relationship with Day Pitney, you can request, pursuant to California Civil Code Section 1798.83, a notice disclosing the categories of personal information we have shared with third parties during the preceding calendar year for the purpose of direct marketing by the third parties.  To request a notice, please submit your request to privacy.officer@daypitney.com.  Please allow thirty (30) days for a response.

Information collected from visitors outside the United States

If you are visiting a Day Pitney Site from outside the United States and provide us with personally identifiable information, please note that such information may be transferred, stored and processed within the United States. The data protection or privacy laws in the United States may not be as comprehensive as those in your country.  By doing business with Day Pitney or interacting with any Day Pitney Site, you are consenting to the transfer of your information to facilities located in the United States and other facility locations selected by Day Pitney, and understand that such information will be stored and processed in accordance with U.S. law.
