Overview
Jacob Buttiker represents businesses, nonprofit organizations, and other entities on transactional, corporate and regulatory matters. He has a particular focus on advising clients on technology and intellectual property licensing and state and federal regulatory data privacy and security matters, including compliance with data privacy laws, drafting data protection agreements, and assisting in data breach response. He is certified as an Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
Prior to joining Day Pitney, Jacob interned for the State of Connecticut, Office of the Attorney General in the Privacy Division. He also served as a Legal Extern for Beiersdorf and a Privacy Intern at Sony and Yale University.
