Matthew Robinson II has joined Day Pitney LLP as a Senior Associate in its Private Equity and Venture Capital practice. Robinson is based in the firm's Miami office.
"With the addition of Matt, we are furthering our commitment to deepen our corporate capabilities in the South Florida market," said R. Scott Beach, Chair of Day Pitney's Corporate and Business Law department. "His experience and his practice complement both the team we have in place and where we want to grow our private equity, finance and technology practices."
Robinson joins Day Pitney from the Robinson Law Firm, a corporate boutique based in Miami. His practice focuses on corporate structuring/formation, asset/equity purchase and sale transactions, and venture capital financings. Robinson represents foreign/domestic individuals and corporate clients in complex transactions and financings in various industries, including but not limited to emerging technology, real estate and international consumer sales. He also counsels clients on the full spectrum of transactional real estate matters, including acquisition, disposition, private lending, mortgage modifications/consolidations, and joint ventures.
"I decided to move my practice to Day Pitney in order to offer my clients full service capabilities and a deeper bench of professionals to support their legal needs," added Robinson.
Robinson is the Treasurer of Key Biscayne Bar Association. He earned his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law. Robinson is admitted to practice in Florida.
