"Business Owner Summit," Day Pitney and Weingard Wealth Management of Raymond James

Day Pitney Corporate department chair R. Scott Beach co-hosted an invitation-only "Business Owner Summit," with Aron Weingard, Financial Advisor at Weingard Wealth Management of Raymond James on June 8 in New York City. The event highlighted topics that encompassed the full lifecycle of being a business owner, including lessons learned leading up to a sale of a business, valuation and positioning businesses for sale, life after a sale, charitable giving, and aligning personal, business and financial plans. Over two dozen business owners attended the roundtable event, which featured presentations by various business owners that had been through the sale process, along with investment bankers and private equity principals, who discussed how to utilize bankers and investment partners to help grow a business and maximize its value. Scott's presentation provided a roadmap for pre-transaction planning and an overview of preparing a business for exit/transition. David Waizer and Brian Fischer also participated in the event.
