
Overview
Palak Sharma represents businesses and corporations in complex commercial litigation matters. She represents clients in complex contractual disputes, tort and product liability disputes. She also assists clients in employment and intellectual property matters, and frequently counsels clients on consumer fraud, real estate and insurance matters, as well. She also helps lenders and financial institutions on matters related to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
Palak was one of Day Pitney's 2021 Coleman Award winners for her commitment to pro bono legal work and public service.
Palak was a Summer Associate for Day Pitney in 2018. She gained invaluable experience from her time working as a legal intern for the National Labor Relations Board. In her role, she drafted memoranda and decisions on unfair labor law issues. She was also a judicial intern for District of Columbia Superior Court Judge Gerald I. Fisher, for whom, she drafted memoranda on probate and tax issues.
