Overview

Quincy Kayton represents clients in domestic and international trademark and copyright matters, including trademark strategy, federal litigation, Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) proceedings, and management of enforcement of trademarks and brands. She has counseled clients in a diverse set of industries, including pharmaceuticals, fashion, home appliances, electronics, food and beverage, clothing, medical equipment and devices, biotechnology, art and entertainment, and software.

Quincy regularly guides trademark clients through the entire mark lifecycle by conducting global clearance searches, managing foreign agent relationships, shepherding marks through the application process, performing trademark protection measures, drafting cease and desist and takedown notices, and renewals. Additionally, she offers experience in other intellectual property matters, such as drafting and negotiating licenses, purchase of domain names, transfers and assignments, coexistence agreements, social media policies and terms of service, and sweepstakes and promotional agreements. Quincy also advises clients on international data protection laws and regulations, including General Data Processing Regulation (GDRP).

Quincy also maintains a pro bono practice working with the Women's Bar Foundation and Victim Rights Law Center, representing clients in hearings to obtain temporary and permanent restraining orders. She also previously served as a Legal Fellow at Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, where she drafted contracts for public art installations, commission and licensing agreements, and corporate art lending.
