Overview
Dane Dudley helps individuals with their domestic and international estate planning and related tax and nontax issues, including succession planning for family businesses and planning for family members with special needs. Based in Day Pitney's West Hartford office, Dane also represents individuals and professional fiduciaries in the administration of complex estates and trusts.
Dane is the chair of Day Pitney's Private Client department. He has spoken at programs sponsored by the Connecticut Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association and other professional and community groups. He has also lectured at the University of Connecticut School of Law. Dane has written for Trusts & Estates, Probate & Property, The Practical Lawyer, Financial Planning, Connecticut Law Tribune, Connecticut Bar Journal, and Legal Times and has addressed planning issues in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes and other leading publications.
Dane lives in Wethersfield, Conn., with his wife Susan (a “retired” estate planning lawyer), sons Kevin and Jack and daughter Katie. He enjoys spending time with his family, movies, traveling and sports. He currently serves on the board of trustees for the Amistad Center for Art & Culture and is a past president of the board of governors for the Hill-Stead Museum.
