Overview
Bamisope "Bami" Adeyanju counsels public and private companies on corporate, transactional and securities law matters. She advises companies, as well as management, Boards of Directors and shareholders of companies, on corporate governance matters and compliance with public reporting obligations.
After law school, Bami served as a pro bono legal intern in London, supporting pro bono directors and associates from the German, London, Paris and South African offices on environmental and human rights cases. She also served as a policy fellow at Accountability Counsel in Washington, DC, where she analyzed and proposed Impact Investor Accountability Models to private and institutional investors and advised development finance institutions on ESG risks associated with their investments. Bami was a summer associate with Day Pitney in 2022.
Prior to entering private practice in the United States, Bami practiced law in Lagos, Nigeria, where she advised corporate clients on various matters; negotiated and drafted commercial contracts and transaction agreements. In addition, she served as a senior legal advisor for Nigeria's Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP), where she litigated public interest cases and managed donor-funded development projects.

General Corporate Transactions
Represented a large, Polish-based health supplement manufacturing company, and its Nigerian subsidiary, and drafted and negotiated a Product Distribution Agreement with its Nigerian distributor
Represented a Nigerian-based information services company, and drafted a Joint Operating Agreement with its counterpart, an affiliate marketing company that connects online casino players to internet gaming provider
International Legal Advisory
Consulted with the UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Development on climate finance and development for his 2021 Thematic Report to the UN General Assembly
Partnered with U.S. Senator Cory Booker's office on sanitation affordability standards and communities' access to sanitation infrastructure, leading to the adoption of sanitation affordability standards in the state of California
