Namita Shah Led Day Pitney's Municipal Finance Team in the Firm's Work on a $1 Billion Connecticut General Obligation Bond Offering
Namita Shah, chair of the Day Pitney's Private Equity and Finance group, led the firm's Municipal Finance team in its work on the successful $1.07 billion State of Connecticut General Obligation bond offering. The bond sale received record retail orders; saved taxpayers approximately $59 million; and funded grants to municipalities, housing developments, and economic development programs, among others. The results of the bond sale were announced by Connecticut State Treasurer Shawn T. Wooden in late May and closed in late June. Day Pitney served as Disclosure Counsel and Lead Bond Counsel. Elaine Wesley, Heather Lloyd and Alexis Coudert assisted in the transaction.
