George N. Chaclas' arrival as a new patent prosecution partner to Day Pitney was profiled by Law360. Chaclas will reside in the firm's Providence office once the firm's merger with Howland Evangelista Kohlenberg LLP is completed on July 1.
When asked about why he joined Day Pitney, Chaclas stated that since his days at UConn Law, he has thought of it as "the go-to Connecticut firm … always looked at [it] as a great place and somewhere I'd like to work." He describes his client approach as having a "very hands on approach where I like to work with the inventor and that's one of my favorite parts of the job."
"It has been a long-term goal of the firm to grow our patent practice capabilities and George's addition will help us serve more clients' intellectual property needs," added Elizabeth Alquist, Chair of Day Pitney's Intellectual Property and Technology practice group.
