Day Pitney LLP represented Systematic Alpha Management LLC, one of the first investment managers to principally trade futures contracts on cryptocurrency on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, in connection with the January 2018 launch of the Systematic Alpha Cryptocurrency Funds; Day Pitney advised Systematic Alpha on a wide range of issues, including tax and compliance related issues related to cryptocurrency as well as assisting Systematic Alpha with the negotiation and closing of a simultaneous seed investment from strategic investors.
