Day Pitney Reelects Executive Committee and Elects New Executive Board

Stamford, Conn., March 18, 2016 –   Day Pitney's partners recently conducted elections for its three-member Executive Committee and the four other partners who, with the Executive Committee, serve on the Executive Board. The Executive Committee, under the direction of the Managing Partner, is responsible for the day-to-day management of the firm; the Executive Board provides guidance to the Executive Committee and serves as a liaison to the firm's partners.

The partners re-elected Stanley A. Twardy Jr., a leading corporate litigator, as Managing Partner. They also re-elected to the Executive Committee Daniel FitzMaurice and Thomas Goldberg, both of whom handle complex commercial litigation, arbitrations, and appeals.

Day Pitney also elected four new members to its Executive Board. They are: Colleen Donovan, real estate, environmental, and financial services; David Doyle, employee benefits and executive compensation; Dina Kapur Sanna, international tax, wealth management, and estate planning; and Barbara Freedman Wand, estate planning and philanthropic advice.

"I am pleased to continue on as Day Pitney's Managing Partner and to collaborate with the exceptionally talented lawyers at Day Pitney," said Twardy. "I am proud of the diversity of our board, which includes three women. Their leadership skills and active participation on the Executive Board will provide different perspectives and sound guidance to allow us to grow and prosper into the future."

Day Pitney also recently promoted two women to Managing Office Partners. Day Pitney Corporate partner Ellen Knarr and Labor and Employment partner Heather Weine Brochin were promoted to Managing Office Partners of the New York and New Jersey offices, respectively, at the end of 2015.

"The recent appointments to firm leadership of several women and a member of our Day Pitney Attorneys of Color (DPAC) resource group is yet another example of our ongoing commitment to providing excellent client service by leveraging the different perspectives, knowledge, and skill sets a diverse leadership team can provide," said Asker A. Saeed, Day Pitney Director of Diversity & Inclusion.
