Day Pitney client LG Electronics successfully fended off a bid by an environmental group to join an appeal to overturn an earlier ruling approving the company's planned $300 million North American headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. According to a March 6, Law360 article, a state appeals court rejected a motion to intervene filed by the Natural Resources Defense Council and the New Jersey Conservation Foundation. On July 15, the New Jersey Supreme Court issued its much awaited decision in Christian Mission John 3:16 v. Passaic City.
