Craig Gianetti Discusses with Law360 Possible Extended Deadline for Tax Incentives Under NJ Economic Opportunity Act
Craig M. Gianetti was quoted in a Law360 article regarding New Jersey legislation that would amend the Economic Opportunity Act of 2013 to give qualified residential projects under a key redevelopment incentive program three more years to submit local occupancy approvals. The current deadline is too restrictive, says Gianetti. "Extending the deadline for obtaining a temporary CO to 2018 is much more realistic and would benefit developers of a qualified residential project and it ensures a larger window of opportunity to apply for the tax credits and comply with all conditions of an award of tax credits," he said.
