Corporate Attorneys Author <i>Law360</i> Article on SEC's Harrisburg Order
Douglas Gillette, Namita Shah and Adam Kasowitz discuss the implications of the Security and Exchange Commission's recent report on public statements by officials in a May 20 article for Law360. They write that in the wake of the report, issued with an order to the town of Harrisburg, PA, the "easy part for disclosure counsel is crafting policies that satisfy the recommendations of the SEC and establishing a framework that increases the likelihood of an issuer's compliance with its continuing disclosure obligations. The hard part is doing so in a manner that is tailored to the issuer and the unique intricacies and dynamics of its government."
