Overview
John Aubel focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation matters. He also handles trust and estate litigation matters in New York State Surrogate's Court. John represents clients through all stages of litigation, including motion practice, discovery, depositions, and court appearances.
He has experience drafting and arguing dispositive motions, preparing and arguing appellate briefs, and managing written discovery. He also conducts depositions and works with clients and counsel to advance matters toward resolution.
Prior to joining Day Pitney, John focused his practice on insurance litigation and general liability matters.
John earned his J.D., cum laude, from New York Law School, where he was a member of the Moot Court Association and a semifinalist in a national moot court competition. He received his B.A. in Economics from Wagner College, where he was a Division I student-athlete.
