Eric Runge authored an article, "Massachusetts Emerges As An Energy Storage Leader," for Law360. The article discusses factors driving energy storage development in Massachusetts and its importance to the electric power industry. The article focuses on recent activities and policies in Massachusetts and at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission that are continuing to shape the new energy grid. "With the combination of advances on technology, operational needs of and benefits to the grid, and state and federal policy drivers, energy storage is becoming the next big development in reshaping the electricity grid," Runge writes. He concludes that "energy law practitioners should keep an eye on further state legislation and regulations and FERC activity that provide opportunities for energy storage development."
