Beth Alquist Discusses Women in Technology and Innovation on MetroHartford Alliance Radio Show

Beth Alquist, chair of Day Pitney's Intellectual Property and Technology group, was featured on the MetroHartford Alliance radio show, "Pulse of the Region," to discuss the role of women in technology in connection with the Connecticut Technology Council's 15th Annual Women of Innovation (WOI) Awards. Along with WOI finalists Shana Schlossberg, Founder and CEO of Upward Hartford, and Sharon Traficante, Deputy Executive Director – Administration of the Connecticut Airport Authority, Alquist discussed women as a driving force behind and in front of the technology sector amid an ever-changing landscape.

Alquist, who is past chair of Day Pitney's women's initiative, Women Working Together, and the firm's Diversity Committee, has been involved with the Women of Innovation in a number of capacities for nearly the entire 15-year existence of the program.

This year, Day Pitney is once again sponsoring the WOI Awards, which celebrate Connecticut women accomplished in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). The event will be held on March 27 at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington, CT. Chase Rogers, former Chief Justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court and current chair of Day Pitney's Appellate Practice group, will introduce the evening's featured speakers Jocelyn Maminta, WTNH-TV co-anchor and reporter and Annie Lamont, the first lady of Connecticut and co-founder and managing partner of Oak HC/FT, a venture capital firm that invests in early and growth stage tech-enabled companies shaping the future of healthcare information and financial services.

The MetroHartford Alliance radio show segment, which aired on ESPN 97.9 FM, WPOP News Talk 1410 AM and New Haven WELI 960 AM, can be listened to here.
