Day Pitney was a presenting sponsor of the 14th Annual Women of Innovation Awards gala, presented by the Connecticut Technology Council and held at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington, CT. The annual awards celebrate Connecticut women accomplished in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

The event featured a panel discussion, entitled "Women in STEM: Leading Connecticut Through Innovation." The panel was moderated by Susan Huntington, a Hartford-based partner in Day Pitney's Healthcare and Life Sciences Group, and included prior Women of Innovation award winners, Radenka Maric, Ph.D., Vice President for Research at the University of Connecticut; Wendy Davis, founder and CEO of GestVision; and Elizabeth Waller Peterson, Electrical Engineering Specialist at General Dynamics/Electric Boat. Panelists discussed their experiences in technology-centered careers and the unique opportunities brought by the state of Connecticut.
