On October 17, 2013, Day Pitney sponsored the annual Saint Vincent Academy Friends in Concert event in Newark, NJ. Saint Vincent Academy is a college preparatory school for young women of diverse and economically underrepresented cultures. Ninety-eight percent of the students are persons of color. In 2013, the school had a 100 percent college acceptance and enrollment rate. While it is a religious-affiliated school, the students come from various religious backgrounds.
