Overview
Emily Covey is an associate in Day Pitney's Corporate and Business Law department, where she counsels clients on a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including entity formation and governance, mergers and acquisitions, commercial agreements, financing transactions, and regulatory compliance. Her practice spans a diverse range of industries, including banking, professional services, technology and software, manufacturing, warehousing, and food and beverage distribution, as well as privately held and family-owned businesses. Emily works closely with clients on strategic transactions and key business decisions throughout all stages of growth and operation.
Emily also maintains a particular focus on entrepreneurship through acquisition (ETA). She advises investor-backed and lender-financed search funds, self-funded searchers, and independent sponsors throughout the full ETA lifecycle, including entity structuring and formation, acquisition financing and execution, corporate governance and ownership matters, and eventual exit transactions.
Emily serves as Co-President of the Connecticut Asian Pacific American Bar Association.
