Day Pitney Names Conn. Real Estate Atty As Managing Partner
In a recent Law360 feature, Michael P. Byrne has been named Managing Partner of Day Pitney, signaling a new chapter for the firm. Byrne, a longtime real estate attorney with nearly 40 years at Day Pitney, assumed the role on April 2, succeeding Gregory A. Hayes, and underscored his commitment to the firm’s people and culture, noting, “A big part of my job will be to maintain and continue to grow our culture,” and adding, “It's an incredible honor and incredibly humbling to be asked to do this by my partners.”
As he steps into the position, Byrne will focus on driving strategic growth and embracing emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, while connecting with attorneys across the firm’s 13 offices. Alongside his appointment, the firm also announced key leadership updates, including Sebastian M. Lombardi joining the Executive Committee, Valerie L. Green stepping in as chair of the Energy practice, and Jonathan S. Zelig being named to the Executive Board.
