Day Pitney 'Lifer' Prepares To Lead Firm Into New Era
Day Pitney Managing Partner Michael Byrne was recently featured in a Law360 Q&A discussing his transition into his new role as Managing Partner and his vision for the firm’s future. A “lifer” who joined the firm in 1987, Byrne emphasized the people-first nature of leadership, noting, “One of the most enjoyable things about being in a firm leadership position, whether it's the managing partner or a member of the executive committee, is I really get to interact with and get to know every one of our lawyers, which is a real pleasure.”
As he steps into the role, he is focused on listening and collaboration, working with partners to define strategic priorities centered on smart, sustainable growth. He also underscored the importance of culture and long-term talent retention as key drivers of success. Looking ahead, Byrne expressed optimism, adding, “I'm looking forward to this new role, and I've got an extraordinary group of colleagues, and I'm looking forward to our future.”
