"2026 Corporate Counsel Summit," Miami-Dade FAWL & South Florida Women In-House Counsel Group

On February 27, Day Pitney Partners Magda Rodriguez and Georgia Thompson spoke at the 2026 Corporate Counsel Summit hosted by the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (MDFAWL) in partnership with the South Florida Women In-House Counsel Group at the Ritz-Carlton, Coconut Grove.

Magda, co-chair of the event, moderated a panel titled “Burnout, Boundaries & Being Replaceable,” leading a thoughtful discussion on the realities of burnout in high-performance legal environments, strategies for setting professional boundaries and approaches to sustaining long-term career resilience in both in-house and law firm roles.

Georgia spoke on a panel titled “Overview of 2026 Legal Trends That Will Demand Effective Collaboration Between Outside and In-House Counsel,” offering forward-looking insights on regulatory developments, business pressures and practice-area trends expected to shape the coming year. The discussion emphasized the importance of strategic alignment and partnership between law firms and corporate legal departments in a rapidly evolving legal landscape.

The Summit brought together general counsel, senior in-house attorneys and law firm leaders from across South Florida for an afternoon of strategic dialogue and meaningful connection.

Day Pitney was a proud sponsor of the event.
