Von Mueffling's Cantillon Redeems Billions to Operate as a Family Office

Cantillon Capital Management’s decision to convert to a single family office stands out because of the size of the fund involved, according to Peter Bilfield, Leader of Day Pitney’s Investment Management and Private Funds Practice.
 
Speaking with Deadline Disclosure, Bilfield commented, “I haven’t really seen funds of this magnitude become family offices. It would appear that the amount of capital the founder and the key principals have invested is significantly lower than some past fund managers who have converted to family offices.”
