Day Pitney Partner Peter Bilfield served as a speaker at the Institutional Limited Partners Association’s (ILPA) Legal Conference, held October 8–9 in New York.

Bilfield participated in “The Terms That Matter: Fund Terms & Side Letter Negotiations for LP Counsel,” a practical workshop examining the fund terms and side letter provisions institutional limited partners are scrutinizing and negotiating in the current fundraising environment. The session addressed the strategic and legal implications of term modifications, their interaction with core limited partnership agreement provisions, and practical negotiation approaches to strengthen investor protections and governance rights. Panelists also explored the operational and compliance implications of evolving fund terms.
