For family offices, privacy requires a plan, not just a subscription.

Day Pitney Partner William Roberts, and vice chair of the Corporate, Intellectual Property & Technology Business Unit, spoke with Crain Currency about why family offices need a proactive plan to address data privacy risks. While removal services can help, Roberts emphasized the importance of pursuing sealing or redaction when available and establishing privacy-conscious ownership and filing practices before future acquisitions.

“In my experience, family offices greatly underestimate their data privacy risks and how effectively they can manage them,” Roberts said.
