Residential Real Estate Cases To Watch In 2026

Real Estate, Environmental, and Land Use Practice co-chair Craig Gianetti was featured in a recent Law360 article examining litigation expected to shape the residential real estate landscape in the year ahead.

In the piece, Gianetti analyzes how legal disputes among municipalities, developers, and housing advocates are unfolding under New Jersey’s fourth-round affordable housing framework.

“There’s going to be a lot of activity in the beginning of 2026,” Gianetti said, pointing to disputes over vacant land and durational adjustments that may allow municipalities to defer all or part of their affordable housing obligations due to infrastructure constraints.
