For thirty years, Cheryl Shaw has counseled individuals and families on trust and estate matters. She assists clients with estate planning, elder law and asset protection planning, estate and trust administration, and guardianships. Cheryl has counseled beneficiaries regarding their rights and trustees regarding their duties and obligations with respect to trust matters.

Her practice includes advising them in structuring tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies designed to preserve and protect assets for the family and future generations. Cheryl is experienced and adept at planning for the minimization of gift and estate taxes, estate and trust administration, elder law planning, and asset protection planning.

Cheryl is actively involved in the trusts and estates bar. She is a member of the Rhode Island Probate and Trust Committee, the Estate Planning Council of Rhode Island and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). Currently, she serves on the Board of the Rhode Island chapter of NAELA, where she was a past President, and is a member of the Massachusetts chapter.
