Overview

Denise Paarlberg represents insurance companies in insurance coverage actions and reinsurance disputes in state and federal court. She also represents insurers and other large companies in complex litigation and arbitration proceedings.

Denise's experience in complex commercial and insurance coverage litigation adds instant value to her clients. Previously, she served as a highly successful Cook County Assistant State's Attorney in the Criminal Appeals and Child Support Enforcement Divisions, where she filed numerous successful felony appeals, demonstrating her exceptional legal skills and abilities. Denise also served as a Legal Affairs Intern at the U.N. International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals in The Hague, building war crimes cases for local prosecution under the Rome Statute. Additionally, she worked as a law clerk for the Middle East team at the Commercial Law Development Program at the U.S. Department of Commerce, where she conducted extensive comparative analysis of public procurement laws in Arabian Gulf countries and reviewed Saudi and Bahraini bankruptcy judicial opinions.
