
Elizabeth Bogle advises clients on environmental issues in corporate and real estate transactions, including brownfield redevelopment and remediation, to ensure compliance and address liability and risk allocation. She represents clients in state environmental enforcement proceedings, ensuring effective defense and resolution strategies. Elizabeth assists clients in achieving and maintaining environmental compliance, navigating complex regulatory frameworks and obtaining necessary permits.
Prior to pursuing her legal career, Elizabeth earned a master's degree in sustainable studies with a focus on watershed policy and pollutant/waste stream management. She worked for over five years as an environmental scientist dealing with site remediation and due diligence matters throughout the United States. She has developed remedial strategies and been responsible for project management and regulatory interactions for remediation projects, ranging from tank removals to complex industrial sites.
In addition to her work in the site remediation field, Elizabeth has experience working at sites subject to wetland regulations and credit programs, as well as documenting the extent of wetlands, ecological sampling and biological data gathering. She interned with Region 2 of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Elizabeth is an active member of leading environmental law forums, contributing to the advancement of renewable energy legal practices. She is the incoming co-chair of the new Energy Committee of the American Bar Association Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources, where she works with a team to publish content on the ever-changing global renewable energy practices and regulations.
