Portia Keady Joins Day Pitney's Boston Office, Bolstering Corporate Practice

Day Pitney LLP is pleased to announce that Portia S. Keady has joined the firm as partner in its Corporate Practice in Boston, adding further depth to the firm’s expanding corporate bench in the region. A seasoned corporate lawyer, Keady brings deep experience advising founder-led, investor-backed, and family office clients, particularly in the consumer products, food and beverage, and artificial intelligence sectors. Her arrival builds on the recent addition of Corporate Partner Ali Slavet in Boston and reflects the firm’s ongoing investment in strengthening its corporate presence in Boston and across key East Coast markets.

“Portia’s arrival reflects the ongoing expansion of our Corporate Practice at a time when client demand for sophisticated transactional counsel continues to grow,” said R. Scott Beach, chair of Day Pitney’s Corporate and Business Law department. “Her experience advising founders, investors, and family offices across complex mergers and acquisitions, venture and growth financings, and governance matters enhances the depth of our platform and reinforces our ability to deliver integrated, high-value solutions for our clients.”

Keady’s practice is focused on serving as outside general counsel to companies and investors nationwide, with core strengths in mergers and acquisitions, venture and growth financings, corporate governance, and complex transactional matters. She advises clients across a broad range of industries, including consumer products, food and beverage, manufacturing, artificial intelligence, software, technology-enabled businesses, and other regulated sectors.

She also regularly counsels both early-stage and mature companies on corporate strategy, organization, succession planning, and day-to-day operations, bringing a practical, business-focused perspective to complex transactions and long-term planning for companies operating across diverse and evolving markets.

Boston Office Managing Partner Jonathan Zelig added: “Portia is an outstanding addition to our Boston office and to the firm’s Corporate Practice. Day Pitney is committed to providing top quality outside general counsel, financing, and M&A services to our clients in New England, including in the family office, emerging company, and venture capital spaces. As our clients’ needs evolve and expand, so do we. And with Portia’s addition, we look forward to continued momentum in this strategically important market.”

Active in the community, Keady serves on the Youth Villages Development Committee, the Town of Concord Board of Health, and the Board of the New England–Canada Business Council. Prior to joining Day Pitney, she was a partner at a Boston-based full-service law firm and previously practiced as an associate in the Boston offices of both an international law firm and a prominent New England-based firm. Keady earned her J.D., cum laude, from Boston University School of Law and her B.A., with Honors, from Trinity College. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts.
