The State of ERGs
Day Pitney's Florida Offices Managing Partner Manuel Garcia-Linares and Director of Diversity and Inclusion Tara Pollard were featured in the South Florida Business Journal article titled, "The State of ERGs."
Pollard commented, "From a recruitment perspective, our candidates are savvy; they know what they want. Diverse candidates will ask whether or not we have employee resource groups. They will ask whether or not we have a dedicated DEI resource – someone who that is their only role at the firm."
Garcia-Linares added, "A diverse group of lawyers ends up providing a better work product for clients. There are more views, the ideas are broader. I always try to put diverse groups together when I'm working on matters for clients, because it gets better results and the clients appreciate it."
