Day Pitney is sponsoring the Good Apple Award Reception presented by the Massachusetts Appleseed Center for Law and Justice on April 12. The 2023 recipient of the Good Apple Award is Elaine Weddington Steward, Vice President/Club Counsel at the Boston Red Sox. The reception is being held at the Dell Technologies Club at Fenway Park in Boston.

The Good Apple Award is presented to one member of the Massachusetts legal or business community who exemplifies MA Appleseed's commitment to public service, fairness, and social justice. At 26, Steward was a true trailblazer when she became assistant general manager of the Boston Red Sox, the first woman in Major League Baseball ever to be promoted to that position, and only the second African-American.
