Amanda Kronemeyer and Susan Huntington were quoted in the Law360 article, "135 Law Firms Among Best Places to Work for LGBTQ People." The article discusses the 19th edition of the Corporate Equality Index from the Human Rights Campaign, the biggest LGBTQ advocacy organization in the United States. Day Pitney was amongst 135 law firms to receive a perfect score, naming the firm a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.
Partner Susan Huntington noted to Law360 that Day Pitney does a lot of pro bono and employment advising around LGBTQ community concerns. As an ally member of the firm's affinity group for LGBTQ people, Huntington helps develop internal programming around LGBTQ-attentive and nondiscrimination practices. "What's a bit unique about our alliance is that it's open to all Day Pitney employees, regardless of your sexual orientation or role in the firm," Huntington added.
Day Pitney associate Amanda Kronemeyer, another affinity group member, adds, "as someone who does identify with the LGBTQ+ community, I felt very comfortable during the interview process, onboarding and working at Day Pitney."
The firm's recognition was also covered in the ABA Journal article, "Nonprofit designates over 130 law firms as best places to work for LGBTQ equality; what firms made the list?"
