Day Pitney Offers Virtual ADR Service
The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in the Connecticut state courts limiting their operations with regard to civil commercial matters to Priority 1 functions. In the context of civil litigation, other than divorce and family matters, the Judicial Branch has defined Priority 1 as ex parte motions. As a result, neither short calendar proceedings to resolve motions nor trials are being conducted. Many other courts have also limited their operations.
We, Retired Chief Justice Chase T. Rogers and Retired U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Chris Droney, who in addition to our appellate experience also served as trial judges for many years, are available to help move civil disputes forward towards resolution either through mediation or a binding process to resolve issues by consent of the parties. All of this can be accomplished remotely via video conferencing application. Please contact us if you would like to discuss this opportunity further.
