Jeffrey Mueller and John Cerreta Named "New Leaders in the Law" by Connecticut Law Tribune
(HARTFORD, CT, August 5, 2014) - Day Pitney attorneys Jeffrey P. Mueller and John W. Cerreta have been named to the Connecticut Law Tribune's "New Leaders in the Law" for 2014. The honor comes after a rigorous review of the nearly 300 attorneys nominated for their outstanding legal work, pro bono efforts and community involvement. Mr. Cerreta and Mr. Mueller will receive their awards at a dinner Thursday, November 6, 2014, at The Bond Ballroom in Hartford, CT.
Mr. Mueller, a member of Day Pitney's Commercial Litigation department, focuses his practice on complex business disputes. His experience includes trials and appeals of matters involving claims of unfair trade practices, breach of contract, tortious interference with contract, fraud and misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty, successor liability and corporate veil piercing in both federal and state courts.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Mueller served as a law clerk for the Honorable Alvin W. Thompson of the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. Mr. Mueller is a graduate of Yale College and Yale Law School.
Mr. Cerreta is also a member of the firm's Commercial Litigation department. He represents clients in a wide variety of matters, including products liability cases, complex commercial disputes, and criminal matters.
Before joining Day Pitney, Mr. Cerreta served as a law clerk to the Honorable Samuel A. Alito, Jr. of the U.S. Supreme Court. Prior to that, he was an associate at a large New York law firm. Mr. Cerreta is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and Cornell Law School.
