Harold Blinderman Discusses Impact of New EPA Clean Water Act Rules in Law360
Energy and Utility law partner Harold Blinderman tells Law360 that the new rules issued by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency governing cooling water intake regulation under the Clean Water Act provide power plants and factories that withdraw water through cooling water intake structures flexibility to ensure that they are using the best technology available to minimize adverse environmental impacts to fish and shellfish. "There clearly is a lot of flexibility in this rule," Blinderman said. "But with flexibility comes a lot of responsibility."
