The article discusses recent efforts by the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to crack down on power market manipulation. On July 18, as reported in this Day Pitney client alert co-authored by Pat, FERC proposed $26.5 million in fines against two end-users, a consulting firm and an individual. Referring to FERC in the Bloomberg article, Pat said: "It does show their vigilance and their focus on identifying market manipulation."
