Day Pitney Elects Namita T. Shah-Partner

Day Pitney is pleased to announce that the firm has elected?Namita T. Shah?a partner of the firm. Ms. Shah is?resident in the firm's Hartford, CT, office and??is a member of the?firm's Municipal Finance and Institutional Finance and Commercial Lending practice groups.? ?

Ms. Shah is actively involved in all aspects of public finance, including bond authorizations, disclosure, tax issues, and issuance. She has acted as bond counsel, disclosure counsel,?underwriter's counsel and trustee's counsel?on numerous?general obligation and conduit financings. She has extensive experience with general state and municipal law as well as laws relating to state agencies and authorities.??

Ms. Shah is a graduate of Boston University School of Law, magna cum laude, and is fluent in Hindi.?She is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers,?the Connecticut Government Finance Officers Association, the Northeast Women in Public Finance, the Connecticut Bar Association and the South?Asian Bar Association of Connecticut.? ?
