Richard Sanders authored an article, "New Jersey Enacts Uniform Trust Code," in Trusts & Estates. The article explains how the new Uniform Trust Code (UTC) offers flexibility, efficiency in administration and estate planning opportunities not found under prior law. Sanders discusses some highlights of the UTC, including how it allows for the modification of an irrevocable trust without a court proceeding. "Clients may want to revisit existing trusts, both revocable and irrevocable," Sanders writes, "to determine whether to take advantage of new estate planning opportunities under the UTC."
On January 19, Heidi Seely and Christopher Voukides presented on the Boston Bar Association webinar, "Trust & Estates Mid-Year Review."
