An article co-authored by Dean Cordiano and Daniella Azevedo was published in the August/September issue of Connecticut Lawyer. The article, "Innocence is in the Eye of the Beholder: An Analysis of the Innocent Landowner Defense Under CERCLA," discusses the innocent landowner defense available to "potentially responsible persons" under the federal CERCLA law, concluding that it is extremely difficult to prove and will be available to very few property owners.
