How investment firms of the ultra-rich partner with PE funds to find top deals and save on fees
Day Pitney Partner and chair of the firm’s Corporate and Business Law department and Family Office Practice, R. Scott Beach, was featured in a recent CNBC article examining the growing use of co-investment structures between family offices and private equity funds.
In the piece, Beach discusses how co-investment structures are being used by family offices seeking greater access to private investments. As he notes, “The ability to share the burden, share the costs and, in some cases, rely on the private equity funds to source, perform due diligence, execute and manage those investments, is extremely attractive to families who want that exposure to direct investing, but don’t necessarily want to build all that on their own balance sheet.”
The article was also featured in CNBC’s Inside Wealth newsletter with Robert Frank, a weekly guide for high-net-worth investors and the industries that serve them.
