"Representing Estate and Trust Beneficiaries and Fiduciaries 2022," ALI CLE

Day Pitney Litigation Partners Glenn Dowd and Erick Sandler will be speaking at the "Representing Estate and Trust Beneficiaries and Fiduciaries 2022," course hosted by the ALI CLE on November 17-18, 2022. This year's virtual meeting will cover key issues, new developments, court trends, and practice tips with a focus on estate and trust administration and litigation.

On November 17, Dowd, chair of this year's course, will be presenting "No-Contest/In Terrorem Clauses," and discussing the national trends with these controversial clauses, and identifies the locales where, and circumstances under which, they can be reinforced.

On November 18, Sandler will be presenting "Attorney-Client Privilege and Other Disclosure Dilemmas for Fiduciaries," and discussing the origins and scope of the attorney-client privilege and duty of confidentiality in multiple aspects of a trust and estate lawyer's work. Additionally, Dowd will be part of the "Dealing with the Trustee Who Won't Leave," panel discussing techniques for encouraging retirement of or removing recalcitrant trustees who have outlived their purpose.
